easyJet leaves Russian market due to poor condition of the Russian economy

easyJet has officially announced suspending its operation between London and Moscow from 21 March, 2016. The decision has been taken in response to the significant and sustained reduction in demand for travel between Moscow and London in recent months which has been driven by a number of factors, including the weakness of the Russian economy together with the tightening of the visa approval process.
easyJet launched first flights from London to Moscow in spring 2013. Initially the carrier was operating two daily London-Moscow flights and four weekly flights from Manchester to Moscow. In 2014 the carrier decided to decrease the number of flights to Russia in order to focus on more popular destinations. Earlier in May, easyJet decided to suspend all Manchester-Moscow flights.
